Lions Club of Ardmore, Founders Club
Lions Clubs have an illustrious history dating back to 1917. Lions Club began in Chicago when Melvin Jones invited a group of businessmen to Dallas and presented the idea of a service club. The club was to provide service as a group without regard to politics, religion, or race. A conference of some 25 clubs met in Dallas on June 7, 1917. Ardmore was one of the original founding clubs!

The Ardmore Lions Club provides an eye exam and glasses to low income residents of the Ardmore, Oklahoma area who have no other resources available.
Lions Club International is one of the world’s largest and most active service club organizations committed to solving major worldwide health and social problems.
The Ardmore Lions Club provides our local community with a free Mobile Health Screening Unit in partnership with the Lions of Oklahoma.
